Two different courses, and the choice is really about how much of a day you want.
El Valle is the half day. Twelve cables run hill to hill with about a hundred and twenty metres of air underneath, looking out over the valley, the river and the waterfall. You do not walk up: a truck carries everyone to the first station, which locals call the Pirate Ship. Each rider is on two harnesses and two cables with an automatic brake, which is why families with children do this one.
San Vicente is the full day. Ten certified lines totalling 1,750 metres, platform to platform, with views across to Cayo Levantado and Los Haitises. Afterwards the group heads to the El Limón waterfall for a swim in the pool, and lunch is included.
Zipline Samaná runs six days a week: El Valle on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, San Vicente on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, from four people.
