Four rides, and they are genuinely different — this is not the same trip sold at four lengths.
The 1.5-hour is the one for people who have never been on a horse: thirty minutes through tropical forest, past mango, coffee and cocoa, out onto Alleman beach, all at walking pace, children from six. The 2-hour goes further, to the second El Limón beach along hidden trails and the shoreline, with some trotting, for riders from eight.
The 2.5-hour adds the hills: the two beaches, the trails up to El Limón village, and a climb to a viewpoint over Cayo Limón, with trotting and galloping for confident riders from ten. The Explorer is four hours in the saddle around three wild beaches with a Dominican lunch in the middle, and it is the one experienced riders book twice.
Horseback riding Las Terrenas runs every day, and you choose the length when you book: 1.5, 2, 2.5 hours, or the full day with lunch.
